A look into the Future

I just received an e-mail from my brother about a company called Corning and it had a video attached to it.  The key point to the e-mail was about the future and we are not that far off.  I watched the video and was stunned by it, it's a pretty cool video and here is the link for it: A Day Made of Glass. 
  
I hope we are not that far off; it is an interesting concept that I hope Corning is very close to achieving.  I wonder what this will do to the car industry and how GM approaches this concept.  Here is a link to Corning website: Corning Incorporated.

Who is ready for the 2013 Malibu?!?!

GM Employee Eligible 2012 Chevy Impala Incentives Through 1/3/12

The 2012 Chevrolet Impala has a GREAT additional incentive on it.  You now receive an additional $1,000 on top of your $2,500 EVA for a total of $3,500 EVA.  It's called the emp or Employee vehicle allowance program and it is good through the end of the year.  That is a total of $3,500 off BEFORE TAX, plus your $4,000 factory REBATE on select models!!  So let's take a look at the price of a LT 2012 Chevy Impala:

MSRP: $28,065.00

Prefer: $27,442.34

Camaro ZL1 anyone?

Good afternoon,

   Just in case anyone is wondering about the 2012 Chevy ZL1 and it's price tag; it will be starting at $54,995.  Doesn't sound too unreasonable, right??  Considering it's horsepower and torque rivals Audi R8 GT, Maserati GranTurismo, and Mercedes SLS AMG (which those price tags are about twice to three times the ZL1).  Here is a nice article from GM, 2012 ZL1.

2013 Chevy Spark

   Chevrolet announced that they are bringing the Chevy Spark to the US and Canadian markets.  This vehicle is suppose to rival the Fiat 500 and Scion iQ.  Here is a nice write up by Jake Holmes in Motor Trend, 2013 Chevy Spark First Look.

   Chevrolet is planning on introducing an all-electric version of this vehicle too.  This will be interesting to see where the Spark's EPA ratings are.
